The Role

We are seeking a Game UI Designer to craft player-facing interfaces for AI-driven narrative RPGs and open-world games. Your work, from menus to HUDs and dialogue systems, will enhance navigation in story-rich, choice-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for game UI elements, including menus, HUDs, inventories, dialogue systems, and player interaction elements.
• Implement interactive UI animations to enhance the player experience and provide dynamic feedback.
• Design and implement engaging UI animations, transitions, and effects that align with the game’s aesthetic and storytelling.
• Ensure animations are optimized for real-time performance and enhance the game’s immersion.
• Work directly with game developers to ensure seamless integration of UI designs and animations into the game engine.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure UI aligns with game mechanics and narrative.
• Partner with artists to ensure visual consistency between UI assets and the game’s aesthetic.
• Design UI systems that interact with and showcase AI-driven features within the game.
• Leverage AI tools and workflows to enhance UI design efficiency and innovation.
• Conduct usability tests and player feedback sessions to refine UI designs and animations.
• Continuously iterate on designs to meet gameplay and aesthetic goals.
• Explore new trends in UI/UX and motion design to push the boundaries of narrative game experiences.
• Stay updated on advancements in AI technologies and integrate them into the design process.

Requirements

• We are looking for some that has GACHA style design experience - A MUST!
• 5+ years of experience in UI design for PC games, with a focus on RPGs or story-driven titles.
• Proven portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design and motion design skills, including animations for game projects.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Expertise in motion design tools such as After Effects, Spine, or similar software.
• Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, including UI implementation and animation pipelines.
• Strong understanding of RPG mechanics, story-driven gameplay, and player interaction needs.
• Experience working with AI-driven tools and systems in game development.
• Strong understanding of usability principles, user-centered design, and accessibility best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Passion for gaming, especially story-rich games.
