Job description
Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic, committed, proactive, flexible candidate for an exciting job opportunity as an Account payable assistant
Package:
£30k (rising to £32k on successful completion of probation)
Responsibilities - The role will focus on transactional accounting
• Processing invoices and employee expense claims
• Consumable recharging
• Managing the AP inbox and responding to queries promptly
• Processing credit card reconciliation
• Preparation of creditor payment runs
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Timely response to internal and external email queries
• Adhoc tasks requested by the Assistant Accountant.
Essential Skills/Experience
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• AAT Level 2 or 3 (desirable) or University degree in Accounting or Finance
• High attention to detail and the ability to organize your workload
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-motivated
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Time management skills
• “can do” attitude and willingness to learn
